Guilford High School Robotics Team To Compete In Pittsburgh | Community Spirit
Title (Max 100 Charaters)
Guilford High School will compete in a competition designed to give high school students hands-on design and manufacturing experience Thursday, March 10 to Saturday, March 12 in Pittsburgh.
The FIRST Robotics Competition challenges teams of young people and their mentors to solve a common problem in a six-week time frame using a standard "kit of parts," according to a press release.
The competition is designed by inventor Dean Kamen, MIT professor emeritus Dr. Woodie Flowers and a committee of creatively minded innovators.
This year's matches will feature a series of three-on-three games similar to a cross between a gladiator battle and a game of tic-tac-toe, according to the press release.
